"Out on bail, fresh outta jail California dreaming..." - Tupac

Well. One of the most prolific authors of murda music is finally out of jail. I have a lot to say about P but let me just start with a Saturday afternoon back in 92'.

I was at home watching Teen Summit on BET and the musical guests were these two kids called Mobb Deep. They were rapping about peer pressure and other shit, but for whatever reason, there seemed to be a disconnect between the message, and the messengers.

Fast forward a few months and while at Skippy Whites Records I saw a cassette tape with those same kids. Only this time they were rocking all black, Timbs, and what appeared to be a Russian sickle. The song Peer Pressure was there, but so was "Hit it from the Back", "Project Hallways", and "Stomp Em out". I knew these dudes were fronting on the non violent stuff, but their music had potential. Couple of years later they released The Infamous and the rest is history.

Welcome home P.
